The big FiveM anticheat review of 2026

FiveGuard, FiniAC, Reaper, Electron Anticheat, WaveShield and two free alternatives side by side: pricing, features, Enhanced support and our score.

Choosing an anticheat for your FiveM server is hard. Every vendor claims to be "the best", 99.9% detection rates get thrown around, and reviews often come from resellers. We put seven anticheats side by side based on what is public and verifiable: pricing, features, documentation, source code and signals from the community.

About this reviewThis is a paper review. We did not buy or run cheats to test detection, and we won’t. We could not independently verify vendor claims such as customer and ban counts, and we say so every time.

How we score

Each anticheat gets a score from 0 to 10 on five criteria, which together make up a weighted final score:

  • Features & tooling (25%): what’s in the package? Web panel, anti-aimbot, event protection, ban evasion.
  • Evidence & moderation (20%): screenshots, clips, replays and live spectating. How well-equipped are your staff for a ban appeal?
  • Price/value (20%): monthly price, a lifetime option and what you get per tier.
  • Enhanced & updates (15%): is there (announced) support for FiveM on GTA V Enhanced?
  • Transparency (20%): clear pricing, published performance figures, documentation and verifiable claims.

Our picks by situation

  • Best choice 2026: Electron Anticheat. The highest final score. Electron Anticheat is one of the few that already supports both Legacy and Enhanced, and according to the pricing page every plan includes the full package, including session replay and a dev license. The website is also available in Dutch.
  • Most moderation tools: FiniAC. The widest toolset, the longest track record (since 2018) and concrete performance figures for both server and client. You do pay monthly.
  • Best evidence: Reaper AC. Every detection is recorded as video automatically, and Live View lets you watch an unlimited number of players. Ideal if you handle a lot of ban appeals.
  • Best lifetime deal: FiveGuard. For a one-off €125 you get a mature web panel, Safe Events and anti-aimbot. Enhanced support is still to come.
  • Starting for free: FIREAC or SecureServe. Open source (AGPL-3.0) and therefore auditable, but still basic protection.

What no anticheat will fix for you

Notably, both free projects point to a paid product for "full" protection. That says something about the market, but also about the limits of client-side detection. A cheat that calls an unprotected server event to spawn money beats any anticheat if your script blindly trusts the client. So always start with the basics: entity lockdown, request control and server-side validation.

An anticheat is your second line of defence. The first is your own code.

Only buy from the source

Cheap downloads of well-known anticheats regularly turn up on reseller sites. Apart from getting no updates or support, cracked or "nulled" software is a well-known source of backdoors. For software that sits this deep in your server, that’s the last thing you want.

All details per anticheat, plus a feature matrix, are on the anticheat overview page.
