Since 15 October: older FXServers can no longer accept connections
With the Kortz Center Heist update, build 35245 became the new Recommended. Still running an older server artifact? Then players can’t join anymore.
On 20 August 2026, Cfx.re added support for the GTA Online update The Kortz Center Heist. It requires FXServer 35245 or higher, which has been the Recommended version since that day. The update landed on the canary channel first. The key date matters now: since 15 October 2026, connections to older FXServer versions no longer work.
The new build model
More important than the DLC itself is how builds now work. The FiveM client always runs the latest stable GTA V executable, and only loads the Title Update content your server requests with sv_enforceGameBuild. The old sv_replaceExeToSwitchBuilds option is fully deprecated. This model had been an opt-in experiment since 2024 and is now the default.
server.cfg# Pick the DLC build your server needs
sv_enforceGameBuild <build> # see docs.fivem.net for the right number
# Don’t use anymore (deprecated):
# sv_replaceExeToSwitchBuilds true
Known teething problems
In the forum topic, owners report a few recurring issues. These are user reports, not official bugs:
- Symlink problems after updating.
- Hitches in the network thread on newer builds.
- Recent DLCs hitting the YMT (vehicle metadata) limit. Cfx says it is working on that limit.
