Releases snapshot: 29 new releases, 28 paid, and QBox is catching up
We counted the first page of FiveM Releases. Paid scripts dominate, and QBox now shows up in the tags almost as often as ESX.
What does the FiveM release market look like right now? On 17 October 2026 we took the first page of the FiveM Releases category and counted the tags on all 29 topics, not counting the pinned rules topic. Every topic on that page was active between 14 and 17 October.
Paid is the norm
Of the 29 releases, 28 are paid. The only free release on the page is a developer tool: TF Target Creator. That doesn’t mean free content has stopped appearing. The free tag is very active, with releases like pls_mechanic and RD Taxi V2.0. You mostly find free releases through that tag, where older topics with lots of replies stay active too.
Framework tags
Number of releases (out of 29) with this tag. One release can have several tags.
Multi-framework is standard, and QBox counts
What stands out: almost no script release targets a single framework anymore. Most support ESX and QBCore, often QBox and a standalone mode too. QBox appears 13 times, against 15 for ESX and 16 for QBCore. For a framework that hasn’t been around that long, that’s a clear signal: if you sell scripts today, you can’t skip QBox.
Type of release
The 29 releases by type.
Escrow on almost half
Thirteen releases carry the escrow tag. That means the core of the script ships encrypted through Cfx’s asset escrow system. Config, translations and framework bridges often stay open. What that means for you is explained in our guide to escrow and open source.
qbox tag means the creator claims QBox support, not that anyone has tested it. And one page is a snapshot, not a trend over months.
