FiveM for GTA V Enhanced is live in Early Access

After months of development updates, anyone can try FiveM on GTA V Enhanced. Here’s what you need to know as a player, and above all as a server owner.

It’s here: since 21 July 2026, FiveM for GTA V Enhanced has been available in Early Access. Anyone can join. Cfx.re is clear that it’s an early version, with bugs and missing features, and that capabilities may still change before the final release.

For players

Download the Early Access build via the "Download FiveM for GTAV Enhanced" button on the FiveM website. No separate opt-in is needed.

For server owners

  • A server that supports Enhanced needs the new Cfx Server binaries. They’re linked from the server download docs.
  • There’s a new VOIP system, with installation guides on the docs and support sites.
  • Report bugs and feedback in the Discussions tab of the citizenfx/rfc GitHub repository.

What about your resources?

The announcement says little about that. The docs page What’s Changed in FiveM for GTAV Enhanced is the place to start. It says, for example, that sv_protectServerEntities isn’t implemented and that you should use sv_entityLockdown instead.

Check your anticheat before switching

Not every anticheat is ready yet. FiveGuard writes in its FAQ that support will follow once FiveM fixes platform issues: game screenshots and screen recordings via cfx-game-view in NUI don’t work there yet. Electron Anticheat says it supports both Legacy and Enhanced. For other vendors we found no clear statement. More in our anticheat comparison.

The replies

With more than 260 replies, it’s one of the busiest announcements of the year. The vast majority are enthusiastic ("finally"). Beyond that, people mostly ask about documentation and report the odd installation problem.
