Community Spotlight September: Little Italy, a new river and a RedM map editor
In September, Cfx.re put four projects in the spotlight: two big FiveM maps and two RedM projects, including an in-browser map editor.
Every month, Cfx.re picks a handful of community projects for the Community Spotlight. In September, that was two FiveM maps and two RedM projects.
FiveM
- Little Italy by Yukon Visuals: an East Coast-style neighbourhood carved out of La Mesa in Los Santos, with around 30 custom buildings and several interiors. Exactly the kind of map that gives a city more character than yet another standalone MLO.
- Los Santos River V2 by NTeam Development: a reworked river and canal area with parks, parking, an outdoor bar and a bridge that actually opens.
RedM
- RedMapForge: a browser-based editor for customising the Red Dead Redemption 2 map, for example by renaming towns and redrawing roads.
- Saint Denis Steel & Rifle Factory by Nello: an industrial interior with steelworking areas, rifle production stations and heavy machinery, built for jobs and roleplay.
Why this matters
The spotlight shows where the bar is. Maps are increasingly complete areas rather than single interiors, with interactive elements like that opening bridge. For server owners who want to stand out, that’s more interesting than yet another police station.
