A padlock in the server list: allowlist servers become instantly recognisable
A client update gives servers with an application or Discord check a padlock icon, with instructions on how to get access.
On 28 May 2026, Cfx.re rolled out a client update for FiveM and RedM that makes it clearer how to get onto a server. Servers where you first have to apply or join a Discord get a padlock icon in the server list. Owners can add instructions that appear on the server’s details page.
How do you turn it on?
Owners decide whether their server shows the padlock. That’s possible through the next txAdmin update or with two convars: one for the icon and one for the instruction text. There’s no deadline.

The total upvote count in the server list has been replaced by an upvote icon. You see the count by hovering over it.
The replies
Some replies wondered what it actually adds. The answer: mainly a visual cue and a filter. Beyond that, many people asked for better tools against servers with fake or "boosted" player counts.
